NutriThermique by Kerastase

Kerastase has launched a new family of products, the NutriThermique, which includes a bain (shampoo), fondant (conditioner), and masque (intensive conditioner).  These products feature Thermo-Reactive technology that infuse moisture into your hair, protecting it from the elements and from heat styling tools.  For more information, check out the "Products" tab to the left, or stop in at Salon XL!

Art Fair is Coming Up!

The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair is coming to the downtown area from July 21st-24th!  Artisans come from all over the country for this enormous event! Salon XL will be closed during the Art Fair.  We will be open on Monday, July 19th and Tuesday July 20th, and closed from Wednesday July 21st-Saturday July 24th.  We will reopen at 10am on Tuesday, July 27th!  Appointments before the Art Fair are limited, call today for yours!

Coming from Hartland, MI, Malissa has over 8 years of experience in the beauty indistry.  She is highly skilled in cutting, coloring and updo's.  She also offers services for waxing and natural nail care!

Clippings For Clean-up!

As the clean-up in the Gulf of Mexico continues, Salon XL is joining salons across the country who are saving their hair clippings to clean up the mess!  Matter Of Trust, and ecological charity, is collecting the hair clippings, which is then used to create booms and mats that the oil will cling to!

Ann Arbor Winter Warriors!

On Saturday February 6th, cafes and restaurants in downtown Ann Arbor are going to put out their sidewalk furniture and have outdoor seating available for guests from 12:00pm-6:00pm. They will be offering $2 draught beers and $1 hot beverages available! When you leave, they will stamp your receipt, which you can present to participating retailers to get great discounts on your favorite things!

Salon XL Welcomes Oribe!!

Salon XL is very pleased to announce that we have acquired a new product line, Oribe!  A product line that has been around in major centers such as New York and Los Angeles, Oribe is a family of haircare products that is both health-conscious and uber-stylish for your hair! This line is a great compliment to the Kerastase line, which Salon XL will be keeping, and can be used along with your favorite Kerastase products!  Stop in or ask your stylist about these great new products!

On November 15th, 2009, Salon XL celebrated our "Diamond" Anniversary of 10 years at our location in downtown Ann Arbor!  The party was a fabulous and fun event! Thank you to all of our guests for your support and patronage!  We are so excited to see the local businesses succeed!

The Ladies of Salon XL formed a team and participated in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk at Gallup Park on October 17th.  We are so excited to be a part of the fight against Breast Cancer!  Feel free to ask us about making a donation to our team, and take advantage of our October specials for Breast Cancer Awareness month!

826 Benefit with Sole Sisters

On Friday, September 25th, Salon XL teamed up with Sole Sisters in a shoe party to benefit the 826 Michigan Project on East Liberty.  Salon XL provided pedicure and polish services to party attendants, and 100% of the proceeds were donated to 826 Michigan.  We are so glad for opportunities to work with our neighborhood and community, and look forward to future events!

Charlie Adams has been selected by Wella to the a Color Education Consultant!  In this prestigious position, she will be traveling to other Michigan salons to train and educate other stylists about Wella's amazing color line.
